Alpha World Coalition
Charter Document
Purpose: The Alpha World Coalition (AWC) is a coalition of top end alliances on the Alpha Server of Ikariam, who have banded together in common cause and to secure the following goals:
To create avenues of diplomacy and discussion.
To build ties of alliance and camaraderie between member alliances.
Heirarchy: The AWC membership is broken down as follows:
Coalition Council – Alliances who hold this status are entitled to four (4) representatives on coalition forums, and four (4) votes in all coalition matters. The council has access to all areas of the forums. The council will initially be composed of Airhawk Alliance(AHI), Bootleggers(Boot), and Fury of Olympus(FURY).
Coalition Senate – Alliances who hold this status are entitled to two (2) representatives on coalition forums, and two (2) votes in coalition matters. The senate has access to all areas of the forums, save the Council Chambers.
Coalition Member – Alliances who hold this status are entitled to one (1) representative on coalition forums, and only one (1) vote in coalition matters. Members have limited access and cannot contribute in Senate and Council discussion. Member alliances will initially be by invitation, and may be promoted based on merit and participation.
Entry into the Coalition: An alliance may only enter into the coalition if it meets the following ciriteria:
The alliance must not currently be at war with a member alliance.
The alliance must be sponsored by a senate or council alliance.
Inclusion into the coalition of a new alliance will be a matter of vote of coalition voting membership.
Coalition Warfare:
If a single alliance enters into war, members of the coalition are not required to give any aid in that effort.
If the coalition votes to enter into war, member nations are encouraged to provide support to that war effort. Ultimately, any individual alliance has the right to refuse participation if they feel it does not serve the best interest of their alliance.
Internal Warfare: (ie: Coalition Alliance A vs Coalition Alliance B)
The AWC believes that it's members should be free to act, including to have warfare between member alliances if desired. We also feel that member alliances should be free to war with one another without having to fear third party interference. To that purpose:
Alliances that are within the coalition may still elect to go to war with one another, declaring allies and sides at the beginning of the war.
Alliances not involved in an internal war are asked to assist in keeping non-coalition alliances from interfering with the warring parties.
Coalition alliances may only declare wars against one another with a duration for the war stated by ‘score to be lost’ or ‘time duration’. Terms of ending the war MAY NOT include disbanding of alliance or tribute.
